About Boots to Beyond

Our Story

Boots To Beyond, Inc was envisioned by three U.S. Veterans living in the Mississippi Delta, who recognized the need of other veterans struggling with food insecurity, healthcare access, knowledge of VA benefits, and more. By convening others in the community who saw the same need, the group formed as a 501©3 non-profit organization, created a Board of Directors, and began networking to identify Veterans in need. Those efforts have led to community partnerships with over 40 civic, municipal and faith-based organizations throughout the Mississippi Delta.

“We just kept doing what we thought needed to be done, and the Lord kept putting resources in front of us,” said Board President Kenneth Magee, retired U.S. Navy. “We go and do where He leads.”

Our Impact Through Partnerships and  Community Efforts

Together With Veterans MS Delta, a key funding partner of Boots to Beyond, has helped power a wide range variety of initiatives that support veterans, their families, and their communities. Since 2021, the program has hosted over 30 food giveaways in six communities, reaching more than 50,000 individuals and generating $1.5 million in food for those in need. It has also organized over 50 health fairs to promote vital resources. In addition, TWV MS Delta has addressed critical issues such as suicide prevention and veteran benefits by hosting seminars like the one held for veteran employees of Loveland Products in Greenville, MS. Through its Delta Veterans Task Force, TWV fosters collaboration among organizations to expand access to services. The program also leads Mississippi’s largest veteran-attended event, the Annual Stand Down, which features VA support and more than 50 resource vendors. Most recently, following the March 24 tornado in Rolling Fork, MS, TWV MS Delta mobilized quickly to provide disaster relief and recovery services to veterans and their families affected by the storm.
